PHOEBE
I had the privilege of being taught the piano with Eva for over 10 years, reluctantly stopping lessons after moving away from Auckland. Eva is patient and supportive as ever, while also encouraging students to challenge themselves in the best way possible. Thanks to Eva's guidance and expertise, I progressed with haste and gained skills that have, and will continue to, stay with me long after our lessons finished. The concerts she held were always a major confidence boost in a multitude of ways. They also bonded me with other fellow piano students, creating a real and authentic sense of community. Eva was, without a doubt, the reason I fell in love with the piano. The cosy and inviting studio was only a bonus!
JEMMA
Hey im Jemma and I’ve been playing piano with Eva for about 8 years and I am so grateful for everything she has taught me. Learning piano can be hard and it may feel like you can get stuck. But Eva is always there to push you to do your best and help you. Music is very important to have and piano can be a amazing way to take a break and breathe. I have learnt so much with her and I wouldnt be the player i am today without her.
XAVIER
I was Eva’s student for over a decade and without her, I wouldn’t be half the musician I am today.
Eva is an outstanding piano teacher who provides a structured and comprehensive learning experience. Her rigorous program ensures that students develop strong technical skills, musicality, and discipline. She emphasises proper technique, structured practice, music theory, and expressive interpretation, fostering well-rounded musicianship.
Her ability to guide her students through a musical journey to reach high standards of professionalism is why I would strongly recommend Eva as a piano teacher for anyone.
MELINDA
Over the past 13 years, all three of our sons had the privilege of learning piano with Eva, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible music education she provided.
She is an exceptionally knowledgeable teacher who not only taught our boys how to play but also gave them a deep appreciation for music history, performance, and discipline.
Eva created plentiful opportunities for the boys to perform, from small, intimate audiences to the large annual recital at the church.
These experiences built their confidence and refined their ability to perform under pressure.
Her expert guidance helped them excel in all their Trinity exams, but more importantly, she instilled in them a lifelong love of music.
Beyond technical skills, Eva taught our sons invaluable life lessons—how to practice consistently, work to a deadline, reflect on their progress, and balance self-critique with the joy of performance.
She helped them understand the importance of being both a good musician and a respectful audience member.
Our eldest son has since taken on the role of playing for family celebrations and funerals, something he does with confidence and sensitivity because of the foundation Eva provided.
He now fully appreciates how music can bring people together and serve as the emotional glue in life’s important moments.
Eva’s teaching has left a lasting impact on our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking a thorough, well-rounded, and truly exceptional piano education.
GABRIEL
I started piano at the age of 8 with Eva my piano teacher and I am now 17. Over my 9 years of playing piano with Eva she taught me so much when it comes to piano and not only was she a great teacher she always treated me with kindness and always found ways of teaching that made lessons fun and very productive in growing my skills. Not only did she provide one on one lessons but also offered group sessions and would host concerts regularly which helped build my confidence as a player.
